Founder and Director, Azania-Afrika Initiative
Mr. Bafana Mbuyazi KaDube is a South African community development practitioner, social justice activist and leader dedicated to advancing health, gender equality and community empowerment. He is the Founder and Director of Azania-Afrika Initiative, a community-based non-profit organization working to improve the lives of vulnerable communities through HIV and TB prevention, gender-based violence prevention, psychosocial support, youth development, climate justice and environmental sustainability.
Beyond his organizational leadership, Mr. KaDube serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Men Sector in Johannesburg, where he promotes positive masculinity, responsible fatherhood, gender equality, and the active involvement of men and boys in preventing gender-based violence. He also serves as Coordinator of the Johannesburg Civil Society Forum, strengthening collaboration between civil society organizations, government, development partners and communities to improve service delivery and advocate for social justice.
His leadership emphasizes partnership building, community participation, human rights, climate resilience, environmental protection and inclusive development. Through advocacy, dialogue and capacity building, he continues to champion the voices of marginalized communities while inspiring collective action for healthier, safer and more sustainable communities across Johannesburg.
